RJ and his wife Jean have been serving with The Navigators since 1972.

RJ met The Navigators while serving in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam and became involved in The Navigator’s Military ministry from 1972-1976, after leaving the military they became involved with Navigators Church Discipleship ministries 1976-1981. In 1981 They started to minister to families involved with the scouting movement while continuing to serve in The Navigator ministries. In 2013 they became part of a new Christ-centered scouting type ministry called Trail Life USA. They are currently serving with The Navigator’s in Orlando, Florida.

RJ serves Trail Life USA on The National Advisory Council Spiritual Emphasis Committee.

Also as Advisor to Chaplains for the “Land of Lakes Area” of Central Florida.

RJ’s passion is teaching fathers Life-to-Life® in how to disciple their sons, helping them to live and lead like Jesus.

How we do the ministry

The Navigators are ministering on military bases and

colleges and among lay men and women all over the world.

Our ministry is to families involved with “Trail Life USA”.

Trail Life USA is a Church-Based, Christ-Centered, Boy-Focused mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to the heart of a boy. Established on timeless values derived from the Bible and set in the context of outdoor adventure, boys from Kindergarten through 12th grade are engaged in a Troop setting by male mentors where they are challenged to grow in character, understand their purpose, serve their community, and develop practical leadership skills to carry out the mission for which they were created.
